Purchasing Agent

24 Seven is partnering with a well-known, digital print agency in Portland, OR to help them find a Purchasing Agent to join their team in this hybrid opportunity. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity with excellent benefits!

Ideal Candidate: will have 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience within a manufacturing, printing, or fabrication environment, along with 2+ years of team leadership or departmental management. You will also be skilled in using ERP platforms such as NetSuite or Epicor, as well as Microsoft Excel.

Role Overview:
Were looking for a detail-focused and proactive Purchasing Agent with demonstrated experience in supply chain and procurement management. This role is responsible for overseeing vendor partnerships, negotiating contracts, sourcing materials for both large-scale and custom fabrication projects, and working cross-functionally to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely execution.

Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end procurement of production materials, hardware, substrates, and custom fabrication components.

• Drive vendor selection, negotiate contracts, and oversee supplier relationships to ensure reliability and value.

• Partner with Design, Fabrication, and Project Management teams to align materials with creative and structural requirements.

• Track inventory levels and plan purchases to align with project schedules and deadlines.

• Identify and implement cost-efficiency measures without compromising on quality or sustainability.

• Lead and mentor junior procurement or inventory team members, offering guidance and performance evaluations.

• Monitor and report key procurement metrics such as budget compliance, supplier performance, and delivery timelines.

• Advance sustainability initiatives by sourcing environmentally friendly and ethically produced materials.

• Maintain accurate and timely purchasing records, including purchase orders, receipts, and invoice approvals.

Qualifications:

• Over 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement within manufacturing, printing, or fabrication settings

• At least 2 years leading a team or managing a purchasing department

• Expertise in vendor negotiations, sourcing strategies, and inventory management systems

• Skilled in ERP platforms such as NetSuite, Epicor, or equivalent, along with strong Excel proficiency

• Knowledge of large-format print materials, substrates, or hardware is a plus
