Duties and Responsibilities: 1st Responsibility - Ensuring personal safety and the safety of your team members. Assist supervisors and managers in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. Wear appropriate PPE, including fall protection, respiratory protection, hearing protection, foot, hand, head, and eye protection. Responsible for the cleanliness of the assigned work area as well as maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Proactively promotes the McWane Way principles. Fulfill the sales order backlog using finished goods stored in the distribution center, as well as finished goods that are too large to move from the manufacturing shop to the distribution center, such as pipe fabrication and large valves. These items will primarily be loaded onto flatbed haulers. Supervise warehouse personnel and coordinate daily activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping of materials. Ensure timely and accurate inventory control, including cycle counts and reconciliation. Monitor warehouse productivity and implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and reduce waste. Enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with production, quality, and procurement teams to support manufacturing schedules and material availability. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed. Maintain detailed records of warehouse transactions and shipping logs.
