Technical Purchasing Agent is responsible for acquiring technical goods and services necessary for the High Voltage/ Medium Voltage / Low Voltage Power Distribution Equipment
A background in HV/MV/LV Power Distribution & Electrical Engineering an asset.
Job Responsibilities:
1.
Supplier Management:
o
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
o
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
o
Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
2.
Procurement:
o
Purchase technical equipment, components, or materials according to the site specific construction installation requirements
o
Ensure that purchases meet the technical specifications and quality standards.
3.
Cost Control:
o
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
o
Analyze total costs, including shipping, handling, and warehousing.
4.
Compliance and Documentation:
o
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.
o
Maintain accurate records of orders, contracts, and vendor communications.
5.
Coordination and Communication:
o
Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality control teams to understand technical requirements.
Communicate with internal stakeholders to forecast needs and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or payment with suppliers.

Qualifications:

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING TO APPLY

Education: Bachelors degree / diploma in Supply Chain Management, Electrical Engineering and or Power Distribution degree/diploma

Experience: Several years of experience in technical procurement, supply chain management, for HV/MV/LV Equipment
