Now hiring 1st and 2nd shift Material Handlers / Forklift Operators for a food manufacturing facility in Waupun!
Location: Waupun, WI
Pay: $21/hr
Shifts: 1st shift is from 4 AM to Noon.
2nd shift from Noon to 8PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Material Handlers to join our team. This position is responsible for loading, unloading, preparing, and moving materials, and performing various functions different departments as assigned by performing the following duties.
Operates industrial fork trucks and other warehouse equipment
Ability to work with RF scanners and computers
Loads and unloads materials and products from trucks and hand pick cases
Rotates inventory and maintains accurate inventories and required inventory records
Utilizes and coordinates warehouse racking and space to maximum efficiency
Completes all shipping and receiving record keeping, tagging, and documentation
Completes sealing and signing for all loads(Sealing is walking up and down 7 steps up to 20 times per day.)
Demonstrates safe work habits and follows all company policies and procedures. Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety guidelines.
Works required overtime as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 1-2 years of related experience and/or training
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to complete paperwork and operate a bar-code scanner. Ability to effectively communicate with truck drivers, plant employees and management as needed
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Ability to work in a cold (non-weather) environment.
