Material Handler/Forklift Operator - Wolf Appliance 1st Shift Sub-Zero Group, Inc. - 3.3 Madison, WI Job Details Full-time Estimated: $37.3K - $43.5K a year 20 hours ago Qualifications Inventory management Mid-level Forklift 2 years Full Job Description The Material Handler position supports warehouse activities to ensure timely support of the manufacturing process in a safe and respectful manner. Specific tasks may vary for different work assignments. Responsibilities: Operate equipment such as but not limited to forklifts, overhead cranes, turret truck, and pallet rider to complete tasks such as but not limited to, loading and unloading trucks, stock racking based on production needs, supplying assembly lines with purchased parts, moving finished goods, unloading steel Complete receiving transactions for incoming materials using Inventory Management Software Place and pull materials and supplies from proper locations up to 20 feet in height Complete assembly requests for materials Complete service and product visibility requests Complete transactions for all materials with the RF Scanner to ensure inventory accuracy Work with team to ensure inventory accuracy Inspect the equipment to ensure safe working condition Train employees on procedures and techniques Housekeeping and workstation organization tasks Other duties as assigned This position requires a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and background check, which will be administered after a conditional job offer is extended. A negative drug/alcohol test result is required for employment. Refusal to take the test or a positive result may disqualify a candidate from further consideration. All drug testing will be conducted in accordance with federal and state laws. Experience Required Ability to work with fiberglass, plastic, glue, and insulation Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day Ability to perform body movements including reaching, pulling, pushing, grasping, turning, bending, squatting, climbing, twisting, and fine manipulation Has strong attention to detail and desire for precision and accuracy to uphold quality standards Prior experience operating a forklift with safe handling techniques Must be able to lift up to 40lbs Must have good numerical and computer abilities Must be able to read and write accurately to document incoming/outgoing materials and supplies Prior experience with inventory management 2+ years experience operating a forklift Preferred Prior experience operating a stand-up forklift Demonstrated success in a fast-paced environment Ability to work in a team environment Visually inspects all orders for defects Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
