Job Title: Finish-End Forklift Operator
Pay & FSLA Status: Competitive Compensation, D.O.E.; Hourly non-exempt
Regular Schedule & Shift: Monday - Thursday; Swing shift (2:30pm to 1:00am)
Regular Weekly Hours: Full-time/40 hours per week (overtime as needed)

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Production Manager, the Finish-End Forklift Operator is responsible for offloading units from the production line, staging products for transport, and loading products into outbound trucks. This is a labor-intensive position that requires heavy lifting. Individuals are regularly on their feet throughout their shift and may work at heights as required. Safety is a priority.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate a forklift to manipulate and move product.
Ensure that the product is accurately and safely staged, secured, and appropriately shrink-wrapped or wrapped for protection. Any noticeable damage should be pulled aside and communicated per management's direction to be resolved the next business day.
Determine appropriate loading configuration, taking into account stop order, product mix, and routing to ensure maximum cube utilization.
Load product onto trailer and safely and properly secure it to prevent shifting during transport and to prohibit damage in transit.
Work to maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized environment while achieving department productivity goals. Understand and follow OrePac safety rules and regulations. Responsible for maintaining the organization of the front-end warehouse.
May complete replenishment of product as needed and as time permits.
Assigned forklift duties will first require taking and passing a forklift training course and obtaining a certificate. Forklift duties will include staging and/or stacking material neatly and safely, operating the forklift in a safe manner, filling the forklift with propane fuel, and regularly checking the forklift fluid levels.
