Operations Manager - New Orleans

Job Description:

• Responsible for leading and maintaining a high level of safety for all employees, including but not limited to implementation of safety programs and administration of various model programs aligned with overall company safety objectives.
• Effectively lead the production departments at the New Orleans Plant, including Durock, Quality and Supply Chain. Total of approximately 44 employees.
• Responsible for ensuring production departments are operating within USG Bulletins as well as requirements of UL and other governing agencies.
• Oversee the training of assigned staff to ensure timely development, including department engagement and succession planning.
• Embraces a culture of continuous improvement through metric alignment, reflection meetings, Gemba walks and various additional CI activities.
• Work closely with engineering manager to develop and implement process enhancements to drive efficiency, quality, and cost improvements over the short and long term.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred
• Previous experience as an engineering/supply chain/production manager preferred
• Strong leadership, communication (verbal and written), decision making and employee relations skills within a diverse workforce environment.
• Knowledgeable with safety compliance programs with a strong emphasis on safety, quality and housekeeping.
• Motivator with a high level of organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
• Must have demonstrated abilities to operate within a planned budget and manage cost within established goals.

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
