Position Summary: Senior Operations Manager needs to meet and exceed business objectives ensuring consistent achievement of all financial and operational KPIs. Responsible for managing the warehouse and delivering operations with the goal of ensuring excellent performance in the 3PL operation. Manage, inspire and motivate Managers/Supervisors to ensure operational excellence, high employee engagement and service improvement is achieved.

What you'll do:

Achieve operations operational objectives by contributing warehouse operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends.

Maintain a high productivity rate and continuously improve the company's quality and service expected by our customers. Achieve performance objectives in the areas of food safety, personal safety, product quality, customer service, productivity, inventory control and spoilage. Ensure delivery of all KPIs/customer expectations including day-to-day service levels.

Develops operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.

Develops operations system improvements by analyzing process work flow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout; implementing changes.

Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

Responsible for operation objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.

About you:

Minimum of 6 years experience in Operations and/or Distribution

Recruitment and motivate Employees

Ability to travel

Strong analytical and mathematical skills

Several years of GL experience with increasing responsibilities.

Food Safety Training/Experience

Baccalaureate Degree in business, logistics or engineering preferred, Masters Preferred

Computer skills (Word, Excel, e-mail, warehouse management systems, routing software)

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Excellent planning and decision making skills

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to solve problems and resolve any conflicts that arise

Ability to build teams and develop subordinates
