Purchasing Coordinator Position Overview We are a privately-owned thirty-five year leader in the industrial packaging industry located in Greer, SC. We focus on custom-designed foam and plastic industrial packaging solutions (returnable and expendables) and serve many industries including: Automotive, Communications, Electronics, Aerospace, Medical, Military/Government, and more. We have added industry-first automation and additional capacity, and are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented purchasing professional to help to continue to fuel our growth. Representative Duties and Requirements: Conduct materials planning with internal stakeholders to determine company requirements (e.g. sales, production, engineering, etc.) Generate supplier quote requests and select best sources Initiate purchase orders and work orders Confirm, expedite, and track shipments Receive materials per packing slips, bills of lading and purchase orders Ensure orders received are accurate to authorize payment Coordinate shipping with suppliers and customers Support quote process for sales Assist with physical inventories Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly desired Additional Requirements: Proficient with Sage, Peachtree, or similar accounting software Proficient with Excel, Word, and Outlook Benefits: Competitive pay Major Medical coverage Health Savings Account Optional Vision, Dental and Disability coverage 401K plan Employer paid life insurance Paid vacation and holidays Job Type: Full-time Pay: From Negotiable Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Work Location: In person
