American Fine Food Corp/IwebGrocer is a leading online grocery provider with over 35 years of experience in the e-commerce and logistics industry. With offices in Miami and Dubai, we pride ourselves on offering innovative one-stop-shop services for international businesses seeking food and consumer products.

We are looking for a Ocean Export Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team at iWebGrocer. This role is vital in our logistics operations, optimizing our supply chain processes to support our mission of providing exceptional service to our clients. Please note that this position is onsite in our Hialeah Gardens, FL office.

The ideal candidate will have experience with the following in order to handle the various tasks required:

  • Experience in freight forwarding is a must, 2-5 years & ocean experience necessary.
  • Experience needed in creating: Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, AES/SED filings, Import & Export bookings.
  • Experience with inland trucking, rates & quotes. Experience in the international logistics / shipping field preparing international documentation for exporting goods.
  • Familiarity with International Commercial Terms (INCOTERMS) and shipping terms.
  • Experience in working with freight forwarders, steamship lines, and 3PLs required.
  • Ability to work on various assignments simultaneously and prioritize.
  • Ability to communicate tactfully, verbally and in writing, with department heads, managers, coworkers, shipboard employees and vendors to gather information and resolve basic problems.
  • Ability to read and write English to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from, management, co-workers, shipboard employees and vendors.
  • Working knowledge of computers, internet access, and the ability to navigate within an automated purchasing system as well as variety software packages such as Excel and Word.
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills including telephone etiquette and positive customer relations abilities.

Qualification requirements

  • High School diploma, bachelor's degree preferred
  • Strong time management and organizational skills. Must be able to prioritize and be detail oriented.
