Forklift Operator Job Description We are currently hiring a forklift operator for a company that packages and distributes electrical equipment. This position will be a hybrid role between forklift operation and general labor. You must be comfortable getting on and off the lift as required. You will operate a sit-down Toyota Forklift, move and stack materials by hand and with equipment, build pallets, pick pallets, load and unload trucks, manage shipping and receiving, and perform general labor duties. Responsibilities Operate sit-down Toyota Forklift. Move and stack materials both manually and with equipment. Build and pick pallets. Load and unload trucks. Manage shipping and receiving processes. Perform general labor duties. Maintain a clean work area. Accurately load and secure outbound shipments of freight. Unload and check accuracy of inbound freight, store materials based on organizational procedures. Essential Skills 1 year of warehouse experience. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Forklift license or ability to acquire and maintain one. Experience using Microsoft applications. Ability to walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs. Work Environment This role is based in a smaller facility with only four other employees. You will work in a team environment and must be flexible in assisting with job duties outside of normal requirements when needed. The typical work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with flexibility for 7:00 am to 4:30 pm if needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
