SUMMARY
The Sourcing Specialist provides support for sourcing activities across multiple spend categories, working under the guidance of the Supply Chain leadership. This role plays a key part in executing sourcing events, analyzing supplier data, coordinating cross-functional communications, and supporting procurement and contracting and contract implementation efforts. The Sourcing Specialist will assist in achieving supplier management, contract adherence, value generation, and process improvement initiatives across the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and tasks may be assigned.
- Supports and sometimes lead the sourcing process including the development and execution of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Requests for Quotes (RFQs).
- Gathers and analyzes supplier, spend, and market data to inform sourcing decisions and identify cost reduction opportunities.
- Assists with supplier communications, bid evaluations, and the preparation of summary reports and recommendations.
- Works with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, timelines, and service needs in support of sourcing initiatives.
- Maintains procurement documentation and sourcing project trackers to ensure accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Coordinates with Legal, Finance, and stakeholders to support the review and implementation of contracts.
- Supports the onboarding of new suppliers and monitors basic supplier performance metrics and reporting.
- Contributes to the development of category strategies, process improvements, and sourcing best practices for assigned categories.
- Assists in contract renewal preparation and compliance monitoring by tracking expiration dates and key terms.
- Provides general administrative and coordination support for sourcing activities, stakeholder meetings, and supplier engagements.
- Maintains working knowledge of assigned categories, market forces, and competitive landscape.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required for the job.
Qualifications/Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, finance, or a related field preferred.
- 1--3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with contract management systems is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented and proactive with a willingness to learn and grow within the sourcing and supply chain function.
