Warehouse Supervisor HIRING IMMEDIATELY!

SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Supervisor has general responsibility for coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities on a daily basis.  Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for supervising the receiving, warehousing and shipping of product in a manner consistent with the Company service and cost objectives and under the food safety and quality management standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

• Supervise, work and coordinate Forklift unloading of inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product and the picking and staging of outbound shipments in accordance with the highest possible levels of productivity.  Verify inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers ensuring that all products are properly counted.  Perform any other duties assigned by the WH Manager.
• Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all handling equipment.
• Participate in establishing work schedules.  Ensure that the schedules are correctly implemented and that the jobs are assigned efficiently and completed properly.
• Maintain product location system and ensure the optimal utilization of spaces.  Update the location system whenever product is transferred form one location to another location.
• Identify and recover any product damaged consistent with Company Policy.  For example, all exposed products must be rejected.  Reports all shortages and overages to the WH Manager.
• Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.  Assigns specific areas to employees for daily clean up.  Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conducts operations in a manner which promotes safety.
• Direct the operations of the warehouse work team to achieve prescribed objectives.  Develop and maintain a productive work team by assisting in creation and implementation of programs for hiring, training and employee development. Match the skill and background of personnel to the work required.  Apply sound communication and motivational techniques, create programs to supervise, counsel and discipline subordinates.  Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assure the integrity of the inventory and assist in conducting physical inventories.  Specify to each employee that product removal must be by the proper lot number and if deviation exists, it should be with your consent.  Modifies paperwork so final document agrees to lot number shipped.
• Apply and enforce all company policies, such as HR, Safety policies, training, and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum high school education or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years warehouse experience.
• Able to receive and delegate orders.
• Must be people orientated.
• Good understanding of modern warehousing.
• Complete understanding of accurate inventory keeping.
• Good reading, writing and oral skills.
• Forklift driver certification preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must have use of all extremities.
• Must be able to reach above shoulders.
• Must be able to see.
• Must be able to identify colors.
• Must be able to hear.
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs. +/-.
• Must be able to bend and kneel repeatedly.
• Must be able to climb stairs.
• Must work in temperatures ranging from -10 degrees normal daily temperatures.

• Cold and damp with temperatures ranging from -10 Fahrenheit to normal daily temperatures.
