Rosco Vision is seeking a dedicated expert in metal fabrication processes to lead our team as the Director of Fabrication. This individual is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the fabrication department, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity. This role oversees the strategic planning, workflow optimization, personnel management, and cross-departmental coordination necessary to deliver fabricated components that meet or exceed customer and company expectations.

Primary Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for all fabrication operations, including welding, machining, and material preparation.
- Develop and implement long-term plans to improve fabrication processes, reduce costs, and increase throughput without compromising quality.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production planning teams to ensure alignment of project goals, schedules, and specifications.
- Oversee the hiring, training, development, and performance management of the fabrication team, including supervisors and skilled trades personnel.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage departmental budgets, capital investments, and maintenance schedules for fabrication equipment and tools.
- Champion lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and quality standards, such as ISO 9001 and 4001.
- Support new product introductions by working closely with design and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability.
- Evaluate and implement new fabrication technologies, automation, and equipment upgrades.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field required; Master’s degree is a plus.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing or fabrication operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at a time.
Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facility.
Must be able to quickly traverse manufacturing areas.
Must be able to stand, bend, crawl, stretch, lay, and squat in order to maintain equipment.
Must be able to occasionally withstand high temperatures if applicable.
