Maintenance Parts Clerk - Full - Time to Part - Time

SUMMARY: Full-Time to Part-Time

Maintenance Parts Clerk tracks tools and equipment inventories of the facility. Logs equipment description and serial number. Secure tools and equipment under lock and key. Will assist in the facilities general maintenance as needed. Responsible in following the food safety, sanitation, quality, and security of the inventoried tools and equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

  • Performs and tracks tools issued to employees by logging out-in.
  • Generates the Work orders.
  • Generates the PMS orders.
  • As appropriate, contacts and coordinates external service agencies to schedule repair work.
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with all applicable standards, laws, rules and regulations.
  • Ensure the company policy is always followed.
  • Reports missing tools and equipment to Plant Manager.
  • Interact with employees, customers, and guests in a professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Report any incident and or accidents immediately.
  • Other job duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
  • At least 1 year of Mechanical experience with Inventory Control experience.
  • Must be able to read and interpret requests, instructions.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft XP and Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient typing skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must make use of all extremities.
  • Must be able to push and pull.
  • Must be able to reach above the shoulders.
  • Must be able to see.
  • Must be able to identify colors.
  • Must be able to hear.
  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 50lbs +/- (varies).
  • Must be able to bend and kneel repeatedly.
  • Must be able to climb stairs.
  • Must be able to work in temperatures ranging below 0º F degrees to normal daily temperatures.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Cold and damp.
  • Constant noise.
  • Working with and/or around machines with moving parts and objects.
  • Wear gloves and safety glasses as required.
  • Machine vibrations.
  • Working closely with others.
  • Longer or irregular work hours.
