Production Manager

Trinity's client is a global leader in specialty chemicals, biomedical, and nutritional products. We are excited to partner in search of a Production Manager based at its Southern California nutritional products site. This is a second shift role, and the select candidate will work 1:30pm to 10:30pm weekdays. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage and supervise all aspects of the production operation. Provide leadership and direction for the shift.
  • Provide safe platform for inclusion and diversity with peer to peer and shift to shift open communication. Create development plans to help production individuals to achieve company and personal goals.
  • Manages weekly time cards and PTO approvals while still maintaining production output. Ensure employee time and attendance policies are maintained and held to standard. Manages overtime within allotted structure.
  • Provide disciplinary actions according to company policy and guidelines.
  • Operates and monitors equipment and process to produce quality products to a pre-determined production schedule. Provides troubleshooting expertise. Identifies equipment/process problems/improvement opportunities and communicates findings as appropriate. Makes necessary adjustments to react to process changes or to optimize process performance.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment.
  • Enforce compliance organization requirements, GMP’s, SOP’s, LSR’s, policies/procedures and Manufex work processes and other rules and regulations.
  • Proactively develop Key Performing Indicators (KPI’s) for all areas of production including direct labor productivity, process order adherence, order lead time, right first time
  • You participate actively on the implementation of new projects initiated by the company and give appropriate feedback about projects status versus plan in terms of qualitative and timely execution.
  • You support, manage and initiate initiatives to continually improve processes, KPI’s, inventory levels, SCDR (on-time & in-full) and to optimize operational costs through all stages of the supply chain process.
  • You ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and work instructions as well as EHS and external requirements.

You bring:

  • Bachelors Degree or higher with minimum 5 years experience in operational leadership and experience in Continuous Improvement leading project and culture shifts.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required

  • You are highly organized, have a strong sense of urgency, ability to multi-task with exceptional attention to details;
  • Experience in working with SAP. Experience with OMP or other advanced planning systems would be an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
