Job Title: LOGISTICS SUPERVISOR I Company: Kelloggs Location: Clearfield, UT Description: 1. Supervises the shipping, receiving and warehouse operations to ensure maximum efficiency and space utilization. 2. Responsible for maintaining accurate records of all transactions. 3. Works to coordinate the scheduling of trucks for shipment of product to ensure the timely filling of all orders. 4. Responsible for managing subordinates in the maintenance and sanitation of all warehouse areas, inclusive of: dry storage areas, dock area (inside & out), cold storage areas, and external truck yard; in order to maintain superior sanitation compliance. 5. Administers various assignments and programs such as a pallet exchange program, pallet repair, and inventory issue ticket system for raw materials and finished goods, among others. 6. Ensures rotation of materials and finished goods on a first-in, first-out basis. 7. Assure inventory levels are managed to meet budgeted cash flow targets without impeding production objectives. 8. Responsible for ensuring that production schedules satisfy corporate demand strategy while achieving optimal use of all plant assets; in order to maintain a 75% or higher service index. 9. Participate, as directed, in training activities for hourly employees. 10. Plans and supervises the physical, monthly inventories, coordinating the findings with the Plant Controller to further resolve all discrepancies. 11. Plans and submits annual budget requests to Operations Services Manager based upon the Production Forecast. 12. Supervises subordinates following company policies, EEO and Affirmative Action policies and procedures to ensure fair and equitable treatment for all employees. 13. May implement and adhere to principles of the Performance Management Process for assigned staff. Develop and maintain key results and performance standards and conducts timely performance evaluation discussions as required. 14. Responsible for support of Lean training as directed by Operations Services Manager for assigned area / shift. 15. Ensure adherence to all standard work processes, including K-LEAN processes. 16. Responsible for compliance with all regulations. Food safety, plant in proper sanitary condition at all times, including allergen control, pest control, guidelines followed. Compliance with food safety policies and procedures. Compliance with employee safety policies and procedures. 17. Responsible for MCRS® sustainability: Ensure achievement of all area/shift KPIs; ensure adherence to and continuous improvement for all area / shift MCRS elements 18. Maintain understanding of processes and functional interdependencies. Recognize and escalate, as needed, those issue identified as potential risks to or opportunities to improve plant performance. 19. Ensure adherence to all standard work processes, including K-LEAN processes. 20. Responsible for supporting the execution of relevant projects within assigned area/shift 21. Responsible for supporting talent management process for hourly employees.
