Job Title: Sr Logistics Coordinator

Description:
Primarily responsible for identifying, coordinating, and maintaining inbound logistics activities to include transportation, movement management, information systems, and processes to proactively manage inbound components and materials from domestic and international vendors. Work closely with clients demand flow / materials management teams to meet production demand. Maintain visibility of all shipment departures via all major modes of transportation. Coordinates transportation when necessary and obtains movement status from air carriers, ocean carriers, motor carriers, railroads, and drayage carriers. Review and analyze current supply chain network activities to identify improvements and reduce total costs. Individual business travel may be required, not exceeding 10% of the time depending on customers operational requirements. Other responsibilities include:Clarification of customers needs and priorities.Perform review of shipmentdocumentation to minimize movement delays.Provide early identification of problem shipments, and implement planned actions to include, coordination of load tendering, obtaining carrier quotes, and providing routing guidance and other actions necessary to enable shipments to arrive within parameters.Coordinate special services to ensureinventory visibility, deployment planning and execution.Monitor motor carrierrates and maintain Inbound SQL Movement database.Perform analysis, and scheduled reports to compare actual performance against established joint Menlo -Customers metrics.Recommend processes and concepts to improve movement efficiencies, cost savings, and profitability as applicable. Maintain and update standard operations procedures and catalog Inbound Team Best Practices.Performteam training and on-the-job instruction as required to other Inbound Team members.
