To perform forecasting, demand history analysis, scheduling, expediting and material status for aftermarket account. • Review sales requirements and product specifications to accurately determine material needs.• Plan and schedule material requirements with master scheduler and account manager to ensure on time customer delivery. • Monitor master schedule to ensure customer needs are met and provide feedback to account managers.• Coordinate movement of material throughout supply chain to ensure timely material delivery to customer.• Develop inventory stocking plan based on customer forecast and demand history analysis.• Release material plan requirements to functional areas (fabrication, production sub-assembly and paint).• Coordinate new material releases with account manager.• Track and report line item status to account managers for internal and customer review.• Coordinate direct vendor delivery with key business personnel to ensure customer deadlines are met.• Prioritize and expedite material requirements to ensure on time customer delivery.• Track and close configuration issues with functional areas to ensure on time customer delivery. • Requires a Bachelors degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or technical field. Minimum of 3 years experience in the planning / procurement of wheeled or tracked vehicles. In lieu of degree requirements a minimum of 5 years directly related experience may be considered. CPIM courses or certification may be considered. Job Title: Supply Chain Manager Reports to: Director of Supply Chain 1. Manages all daily operations of the procurement organization and personnel for multiple company locations. 2. Develops performance guidelines/standards for the purchasing group; defines and establishes departmental and individual staff goals in support of management objectives to be aligned with company vision. 3. Evaluates the staff performance in relationship to the established goals. 4. Assists and/or conducts training for support personnel in the purchasing function. 5. Develop, implement and maintain standardized processes, procedures, policies, work instructions and safety guidelines. 6. Monitor and provide clear communications to suppliers as to Howden Buffalo?s requirements and expectations for delivery, quality, customer support, and continuous improvement. 7. Responsible for the development and function of the purchasing system. This includes, but is not limited to, long term/national agreements in conjunction with supply chain management, certified supplier program, favorable terms and conditions on all purchases, and on-time delivery initiatives. 8. Works with engineering teams and suppliers on all change orders and their associated incorporation into WIP. 9. Understand, monitor and share global commodity market conditions/trends, developing technologies, supply chain capacity/ capability, product knowledge, customer requirements and supply/demand to maintain a roadmap that ensures supply chain viability. 10. Continually update pricing tools in order to ensure that the Market Segment Teams can extract accurate cost information when building quotations. 11. Co-ordinate with the Marketing department to ensure that the supply base has the capabilities and capacity to meet forecast growth and product development. 12. Guide the selection, development, and management of Strategic Suppliers to meet commodity cost and performance goals. 13. Develop and implement spend management and/or commodity strategies including supplier assessments and rationalization, negotiation for best total cost of ownership, inventory reduction programs, cycle time improvements, security of supply, supplier diversity, low cost countries, continuous improvement, EDI, and procurement/engineering collaboration. 14. Optimize the use of information systems and technology for tracking, analysis, reporting, administration and communication between business units. 15. Lead negotiations and completion of contracts/supplier agreements on price, payment terms, warranty, returns and customer support with global strategic and preferred suppliers to maximize benefits across corporation and its affiliates. 16. Responsible for ?make or buy? decisions, where appropriate. 17. Establish a strong network and foster collaboration with customers, suppliers, key stakeholders, and commodity team members. 18. Protect company Intellectual Property by having all suppliers review, understand, and sign non-disclosure agreements prior to sharing any information. 19. Create and maintain mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with strategic suppliers to foster feedback and continuous improvement. 20. Implement a rigorous and disciplined process for managing the supply base including leading periodic business reviews, monitoring and managing supplier performance (quality, cost, delivery, & customer support), managing supplier relationships, performing root cause analysis and resolution, developing and monitoring supplier improvement plans. 21. Assists and/or resolves problems with invoices, receipt reconciliation, contract awards and/or contract performance, as the need arises 22. Ensures compliance with all laws and regulations with regard to procurement and the shipment of goods. 23. Knowledge of commercial & legal contract terms and conditions. 24.
