Job Title: Transportation Mgmt System SME Company: Apptricity Location: Irving, TX Description: Apptricity Corporations Transportation Management System (TMS) SME role is to provide system design, development management, sales support, and post-implementation support for the Apptricity TMS Product. The ideal candidate is responsible for knowledge of all configuration tables & data schemes, business logic, optimization algorithms, and user experience criteria including but not limited to maintaining the overall integrity of the TMS. The candidate should also be able to manage a development team to support the TMS SMEs design documents to deliver this product on a timely basis. This position also serves as an operational resource in transitioning existing clients and assisting in procuring new clients for the product. Develops processes to capture cost savings / value propositions of the system and provides market differentiators for Apptricity TMS sales associates. Works closely with other Supply Chain Team members to ensure all system functions are within best practices and fully integratable with Apptricitys suite of enterprise class solutions. Responsible for, and subject matter expert for, TMS related products within Apptricity, and other ERP / Legacy systems for integration opportunities. Develops processes and procedures that maximize the benefit of the TMS while insuring that its scalability to the growth of Apptricitys business. Works closely with other product managers and framework team to integrate the TMS functionality into Apptricitys overall suite. Provides exceptional customer service internally and externally. Monitors and tracks issues with customers and resolves them to clients satisfaction. Builds upon Apptricitys reputation for exceptional service and ease of doing business that extends Apptricitys growing footprint in the supply chain solution market. Strong communication skills Attention to detail Multi-tasking ability High level of energy and initiative Team player Active Secret clearance a plus (or ability to obtain clearance) Provides program management leadership Team / collaboration-based approach to decision making Can do attitude with a willingness to help others complete activities as needed Requirements BS in Logistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics Advanced degree a plus 10+ years design & implementation experience with best-of-breed TMS Analytical skills, esp. in route planning / optimization algorithms Project Management (PMP Certification a plus) Ability to produce and explain technical design documents to SW developers Understanding of transportation management systems Exceptional high-level computer skills (systems) Ability to lead and manage projects Ability to take charge and work with minimal guidance / self-supporting Able to determine new customer needs, program system, and transition to operations specialists Based in Irving, TX (Dallas)
