This role with work to establish benchmark tools, processes and procedures, and develop winning proposals to advance our readiness and sustainment business. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 1.Develops integrated supply chain strategy improving organizational effectiveness, opening and growing strategic partnerships. 2.Implements consolidated procurement for common items (e.g.; steel, titanium and aluminum, etc.) where possible maximizing cost savings and maintaining high quality materials. 3.Develops and manages programs to ensure compliance with government and LOB requirements for materials. 4.Establishes Line of Business (LOB) Procurement Council. 5.Develops/implements subcontract management training programs. 6.Establishes standards/skills required for procurement/subcontract management. 7.Reviews and approves all collaborative business arrangements such as teaming agreements, joint ventures, and long term purchasing agreements. 8.Monitors supplier performance metrics and analyzes supply chain. 9.Manages all LOB level procurement services. 1 .Develops and manages programs to ensure accuracy in the accountability of government and LOB material and ensures the maintenance of records and data essential to material programs, including MRP. 11.Purchases in a free competitive market, the required raw materials and finished materials, equipment, supplies and services, which conform to quality standards at a price consistent with prevalent business conditions. 12.Develop suppliers and sources that are properly equipped and staffed to assure a continuous supply of the required goods and services. 13.Directs and assures that all purchasing activity is handled in an ethical manner to enhance the company's reputation and improve relationships between the suppliers and users within the company. 14.Interprets economic and market conditions and advises management of potential impacts on the cost and availability of goods and services being procured. 15.Prepares and monitors departmental expense budgets and direct materials budgets for contract awards to ensure company profitability. 16.Develops programs and direct implementation of production control systems to ensure material, work instructions, and other data are available to support production schedules. 17.Analyzes current systems, procedures, and practices, and determines opportunities for improvements. 18.Directs the planning and implementation of performance measurement systems and implement corrective action programs to correct unacceptable conditions. 19.Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies. 2 .Shares responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor.Basic Qualifications:1.       A Bachelor's degree plus 7 to 1 years of relevant work experience is required. 2.       Master's Degree is preferred.3.       Certain positions may require the ability to obtain Security Clearance.BAE Systems is the premier global defense and aerospace company, delivering a full range of products and services for air, land, and naval forces, as well as advanced electronics, information technology solutions, and customer support services.
