None Location Long Beach, MS   % Travel 10 Relocation No Requirements The Seckinger Operation of SAIC currently has a opening for a Logistics Specialist in Gulfport, MS JOB DESCRIPTION: This position provides an individual who will perform Weapons Maintenance and Repair, along with providing logistical support to the Armory manager at the Center for Security Learning Sites. Individual will maintain weapons and associated equipment used by the Learning Site. They will be aware of the OPNAVINST 5530.13 Series and understand there responsibilities concerning AA&E. They will provide logistic management knowledge and skills related to the operation of the classroom and field-learning experiences for various weapon topics as requested. Individual will assist with ammunition transportation and explosive ops as requested. EDUCATION/SKILLS REQUIRED: AS Degree and 3 years of experience or 5 total years of experience in lieu of degree. Individual will possess a minimum of three (3) years of preventive/corrective weapons maintenance experience and a minimum of two (2) years experience with ammunition and weapons management environment. Possess the motivation and ability to research directives, regulations, and policies to determine solutions to problems, issues, and concerns. Have strong oral communication skills, excellent presentation skills, experience in the technical writing arena for military manuals, strong written communication skills, excellent interpersonal communication skills, commitment to customer service, ability to manage and meet deadlines, proactive in identifying and solving problems, computer literate in appropriate software packages, ability to understand and implement standards, ability to communicate abstract ideas in concrete terms for the adult user.
