As a Logistics Specialist I, the successful candidate implements Integrated Logistics Systems (ILS) functions for assigned projects to include: research, analyses of customer and statutory requirements, preparing required documentation, and ensuring quality control. Drafts various logistics type documentation, e.g., Integrated Support Plan (ISP), Integrated Logistic Support Plan (ILSP), Materiel Fielding Plan (MFP), Type Classification Plan, Logistics Transition Plan, Materiel Provisioning Plan, Training Plans, System MANPRINT Management Plan, etc. Identifies, analyzes and reports deficiencies in logistics life cycle costs, logistics budget data (spare and repair parts), etc. Analyzes and assesses technical documentation, e.g., manuals, drawings, specifications and source controls. Develops and implements standard procedures to ensure testing, documentation, updates, quality control, and configuration management requirements are considered in the development of the equipment system. Drafts ILS data in support of Statements of Work and Contract Data Requirements Lists. Provides ILS input to the technical proposal preparation process and ensures necessary safeguards for proprietary data. Confers with user/customer to resolve logistics problems. Assists in training junior logisticians. Maintains proficiency in ILS functional areas. REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: AA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other scientific or technical discipline directly related to the labor category + one (1) year general experience. OR Relevant military training or one and one-half (1) years of relevant military experience. OR Training certificate(s) from an accredited training program.
