Job Summary Seeking an Information Technology professional who performs functional analysis, requirements, definition, business process design, SAP module configuration and testing. Responsible for conducting prototypes, developing functional specifications, data mapping, function mapping and setting of configuration tables. Has a thorough understanding of the business processes related to warehouse management, shipping and inventory management to enable the analysis of business requirements and the development of solutions for the business functions. Responsibility Participate as the technical expert in the identification, design, configuration, testing, and debugging of the SAP Warehouse Management, Materials Management (Inventory Management) and Logistics Execution Modules. Modules currently implemented at Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation include, Sales and Distribution, CPROJECTS, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, EC-Consolidations, Internal Orders, Special Ledger, Treasury (CFM) and Production Planning, Warehouse Management, Quality Management and Materials Management. Prepare detailed functional specifications for development activities including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, workflows and forms Configure the SAP System as needed to support business process design Work with the business to identify, plan and build business cases for SAP implementation projects. Participate in ongoing application support efforts (Problem Incident Resolution) as required. Analyze business processes and recommend SAP best practices, including providing conceptual and detailed designs. Follow all integration testing procedures, change control procedures and design standards (SDLC). Work with the business to perform integration testing to insure that new functionality and enhancements do not adversely affect other functionality. Participate on SAP Projects as needed. We have an immediate opening for a Procurement Analyst in our Clayton office.Reports to:Senior Manager of PurchasingScope of Responsibilities:Primarily responsible to ensure the completion of the procurement process for all of the Administrative Departments as assigned by the Senior Manager – Purchasing within the Firm as well as purchases for clients as requested by lawyers.  Essential Job Functions:·         Review and processes requisitions to ensure timely order submission to meet delivery requirements and initiate appropriate sourcing processes as needed.·         Generate and release Purchase Orders (PO’s) from requisitions as assigned by management to ensure that the process is in accordance with Firm’s Procurement Policies and procedures.·         Initiates or supports sourcing process by obtaining competitive costs from suppliers through the development, release, and receipt of Requests for Quotations, Request for Proposals, or Request for Information (RFx).  Responsible for developing appropriate product/service specifications with the help of a business area to accurately explain business needs to suppliers.  ·         Completes assessments of supplier capabilities, and creating/analyzing documented comparative costs submitted by suppliers in the RFx process to develop and present recommendations to either, or both, the Senior Manager – Purchasing, or business area management, for source selection.·         Negotiates costs, delivery schedules, and contract terms, including at times working with staff attorney’s in order to establish pricing and performance standards through contracts with suppliers.·         Creates business appropriate spreadsheets to support software licensing management processes within the responsibility of the Procurement group.·         Monitors and updates item, commodity, and other tables as assigned in current PO software application.·         Monitors delivery status, and expediting shipments as required, including completing related telephone and written correspondence.·         Audits products/services received for accuracy in packing slip documentation for matching of PO data to supplier invoices·         Using current departmental tools provide administration of all acquisition contracts within the various phases of contract management including updating appropriate sources of information, creating/filing of documents, generating quarterly reports as assigned by management.·         Performs other duties or projects as requested.  Minimum Qualifications:·         College graduate in business or accounting related field with major course work in purchasing and/or inventory control management.   Pleasant personality, team oriented, good speaking voice, neat appearance, and ability to function under pressure are required.  Command of the English language, ability to master technical vocabulary, display good judgment, and self confidence a must.
