Job Title: Import/Export Agent Company: Yellow Transportation Location: Kearny, NJ Description: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Log/file booking notices, departure confirmations, arrival notices and confirmations from overseas 2. Match SS arrival notices with files 3. Open and Update files prior to arrival 4. Invoice Breakbulk files prior to turning it over to in-house brokerage department. 5. Provide job cost analysis prior to turning file over to in-house brokerage department. 6. Dispatch shipments once freight has been cleared by customs. 7. Confirm receipt of delivery order with carriers. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Bachelor degree in Business or Transportation/Logistics or the equivalent combination of education and experience. 2. Four or more years experience handling Ocean Import Breakbulk files, including LCL and FCL shipments. 3. Knowledge of Incoterms. 4. Demonstrated effective problem solving, quantitative analysis, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. 5. Demonstrated ability to ensure complete customer satisfaction and to create repeat business opportunities. 6. Computer literate in Microsoft Office, basic knowledge and understanding of PC applications. 7. Knowledge of geographical location of countries and ocean ports.
