Description:
Develops, implements and manages Performance Based Logistics (PBL) initiatives to provide value and develop partnerships for long-term life cycle systems initally on C27J program. Develops and manages PBL functions as they pertain to contract administration, operations management, and maintenance repair. Manage strategy to improve the movement of assets and inventory through various systems throughout multiple locations. Responsibilities: Develop, implement and establish Performance Based Logistics(PBL) program. Analyze current logistical software programs and develop plan to incorporate programs. Establish metrics to measure the PBL system. Establish and monitor adherence to program plans. Maximize established IT systems. Preferred logistics SAP experience. Requirements: Five years experience of PBL system management to include DoD PBL systems. Understanding of various hardware and software technologies in logistics management. In depth knowledge of IT systems interface capabilities and limitations. Must have substantial knowledge of technical and IT aspects of PBL operational environment. Knowledge: Develops advanced concepts, techniques, and standards. Develops new applications based on professional principles and theories. Viewed as expert in field within the business segment. Problem Solving: Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity that require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation. Challenges are frequently unique and solutions may serve as precedent for future decisions affecting the entire business segment. Discretion: Works under consultative direction toward long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated. Virtually self-supervisory at the business segment level. Impact: Decisions affect the financial, employee, or public relations posture of the organization. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would normally result in failure to achieve goals critical to the major objectives of the business segment. Liaison: Serves as prime consultant and external spokesperson for the organization on highly significant matters relating to policies, programs, capabilities, and long-range goals and objectives within the business segment.
