Work cross-functionally with plant operations, logistics, and accounting/admin teams to drive execution of a business plans. Asia Export Marketing Manager is responsible for execution of Distillers Dried Grains (DDGS) and sales and strategies for Hawkeye Gold, LLC within the growing Asian markets. Duties include trading product into the Asian markets via various shipping methods, develop marketing, strategic planning and business developments. Ensure product is delivered efficiently by working closely with container steam ship lines, railroads, or other transportation methods. Execute and manage sales of the Pelleted Distillers Dried Grains into the Asian markets that will commence in April 2010 at one of its ethanol plants. Work cross-functionally with plant operations, logistics, and accounting teams to drive execution of the business plans. Responsibilities Analyze world supply and demand factors and help develop and execute a comprehensive international strategy to market Distillers Grains for Hawkeye Gold, LLC, which will include approximately 2.5 million tons of DDGS between plants that Hawkeye Gold markets. Initiate, develop, and maintain international customer relationships for the sale of DDGS. Expand into new markets when appropriate. Negotiate terms of contracts with customers including quantity, quality, freight rates, and weights and follow thru with customer to ensure all terms of the agreement are understood and enforced. Work closely with plants on efficient strategy to maximize market penetration into the markets and while maximizing plant revenue. Work with customers to enhance service, understand their business, and develop built-to-last customer relationships that allow deeper insight into their business and the ability to pursue long term solutions. Prepare offers to present to customers for sales of DDGS through a complete understanding of the competition's product, supply/demand factors, and freight spreads. Follow thru with customer post sale to ensure timely delivery of product and actively work with customers on all quality issues. Represent Hawkeye Gold, LLC and its products around the world in a favorable manner and in a way that best serves the interest of the Company. Actively pursue new markets and new customers in an effort to broaden our global presence and grow the Company. Communicate to management on regular basis relevant market information including positions, pricing, customers, and freight. Keep management abreast of new and emerging markets and markets that are beneficial to the company to pursue. Develop trading biases to help position the business favorably to market conditions. Work closely with accounting and risk management on all accounts receivables issues for international accounts including past due accounts and over limit accounts. Utilize EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) where appropriate. Work daily with plant operations on inventory management and develop efficient rail, barge and container loading schedules that allow the plant to run at desired rates. Work closely with the transportation department to coordinate appropriate outbound logistics for Hawkeye Gold, LLC. Initiate and develop sound relationships with rail, barge and container companies, and work with other plant personnel as it relates to inventory management and logistics. Attend and represent the Company at industry events when authorized by the Senior Vice President. As a representative of the Company, project an image which exemplifies the high standards necessary to accomplish the goals of the Company.
