Serves as GROWMARKs primary dispatch customer service representative for assigned Member Cooperatives including responsibility for liquid fuel / propane order entry. Responsible for NH3 / UAN products: o order entry and communication to Member Cooperatives when delivery requests can not be met from sources selected and provides them with all possible delivery options, o contacting loading terminals, working with the terminal operators regarding hours of operation, and communicating loading hours to customers and carriers in an effort to maintain member cooperative service levels, and o utilizing carriers to maximize the number of night fill and early morning deliveries. Responsible for dry freight order entry, route load configurations, and scheduling product division pick-ups in a manner that meets member cooperative and product division delivery expectations while minimizing overall GROWMARK cost. Responsible for all LTL (less than truckload) functions including order entry, dispatch, brokerage, freight bill audit/payment, reconciliations, rate quotes, claims, rate negotiations, and directing other departments on LTL carrier usage. Responsible for freight brokerage as assigned including freight pricing, delivery service and carrier payment. Monitors carrier progress at fulfilling customer requirements via monthly quality calls and daily contacts with customers and carriers. Communicates service failures to the Dispatch Manager and Area Fleet Coordinator. Chooses the least cost source and vendor for designated liquid fuel and propane orders in accordance with product division procedures. Utilizes least cost method of delivery and maximizes recovery considering current contractual commitments.
