Ensures all warehouse operations complies with applicable safety and security codes, regulations and policies. Supervises evacuation, safety and security activities. Ensures that all warehouse and related equipment and facilities are fully operational and in good repair. Initiates maintenance repairs as required. Contacts freight carriers, staff from various NEC divisions, subsidiaries and end users to resolve problems regarding shipping dates, discrepancies, damages, etc. Receives inquiries and requests from customers. Investigates discrepancies and ensures customer requests are completed. Reviews current warehouse space allocation and makes recommendations for improvements. Implements and ensures adherence to approved changes. Assists in planning warehouse layout changes and in estimating future warehouse fixture, supply, and equipment needs. Performs all duties inherent in a supervisory role. Ensures staff training / cross-training, evaluates staff performance and hires, terminates, promotes and recommends salary actions.
