Perform cycle counts to improve accuracy in quantity, location, description and barcode numbers. Consult with Warehouse Manager to develop/enhance current cycle count methodology System Enhancement/Training & Support: ? Lead the system enhancement project; interfacing with internal stakeholders and the software architects to develop road map and requirements, track progress and implement improvements. ? Develop a more effective ?search? functionality ? Develop and maintain handheld transactional methodologies ? Develop and automatic proof of delivery system ? Lead the redevelopment of existing reporting capabilities to provide reports of all client owned inventory in a real-time environment with the goal being a CRM-type accessibility for the client. ? Develop and administer system training program; advocate system capabilities for maximum adoption of automated processes; evangelize on behalf of the goals of the company. Train warehouse staff on proper system policies and procedures. ? Recommend future improvements to the inventory process and/or system procedures to the Warehouse Manager. Leadership: ? Interact with and provide guidance to warehouse and operations personnel regarding daily inventory transactions. ? Act as Warehouse Manager during his/her absence. Attend required meetings, provide required updates/information, lead and inspire production staff to achieve deadlines and goals in a service-conscious manner consistent with established policies and procedures. General Warehouse: ? Keep warehouses organized for efficient operation of all warehouse functions including storage and retrieval of company and client inventories, production of drop shipments and fulfillment programs, space for pre-show set-ups, staging, shipping and receiving. ? Pack shipments ensuring damage will not occur during shipment, label clearly, manifest correctly, record accurate weights/dimensions, fill out bills of lading and/or airbills and make sure all shipments get out on time. Utilize a Green materials philosophy in choosing packing materials. ? Receive incoming freight, inspect for damage & verify quantities in a timely manner according to established company procedures. ? Notify purchasing department and/or appropriate project manager of items received. Note on purchase orders any discrepancies and notify purchasing department of same. ? File freight claims when necessary and follow-up through resolution. ?
