Our customer is distributor of resins, fiberglass, and other products used in the composites industry. The Primary responsibility of this position will be the daily warehouse physical operations, inventory control including purchasing, maintaining equipment and trucks, shipping, routing of deliveries, and customer service. This position will also be responsible for order entry and order processing as well as the coordination of vendor orders; inventory management and inventory control at the branch warehouse; and maintenance scheduling on all equipment. The Operations Supervisor will also plan and coordinate delivery and receipt of product to the customer and the branch in an efficient, cost-effective manner. This position is also responsible for safety and compliance with all regulatory requirements. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 1. The incumbent is responsible for the daily operations functions at each location. These functions include issuance of purchase orders to vendors for items purchased by local purchase orders. Is responsible for the development of the necessary branch paperwork associated with purchasing as outlined in company policy and procedure manuals. 2. One of the primary contacts with customer, vendors, and the general public. The incumbent must possess the tact and diplomacy required to properly communicate and maintain relations with these parties. The incumbent must possess sufficient knowledge of products, pricing, scheduling, etc., to effectively coordinate the warehouse sales function. 3. Responsible for receiving and shipping of product sold by NAC. 4. Should be familiar with the safe operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. Products include drums of organic chemicals ranging in weight from 45 lbs. to 550 lbs. Pallets of fiberglass reinforcement will range in weight up to 2400 lbs. 5. Upon receipt of product, the Operations Supervisor must check to ascertain that the product is received in the agreed saleable condition at the agreed price from the vendor. Responsible for placing and maintaining the product in a saleable condition in the warehouse. Upon sale of the product, the Operations Supervisor must then make sure all necessary paperwork is completed for shipment and sale of the product. 6. Reconcile the warehouse inventory monthly and report the result of the inventory as required. Goals for total warehouse inventory and slow moving inventory are to be set by the Operations Manager with each Branch Operations Supervisor striving to attain these goals. 7. Must become familiar with OSHA, DOT and EPA regulations that pertain to the products and operations at each branch and see that other employees understand and adhere to these regulations. Will coordinate and implement Company procedures that will ensure compliance with these regulations. The incumbent is responsible for the proper completion of all shipping and billing documents with regard to hazardous product notification. Responsible for the mailing, delivery, or other conveyance of all products MSDS sheets to customers and/or purchasers of product. 8. Will coordinate and implement truck scheduling and routing for the branch. 9. Will originate credit requests, vendor notification forms, and return goods authorizations as needed. 10. Will conduct performance reviews for the Warehousemen, Customer Service, and Truck Drivers at the branch. These reviews will be done annually. 11. Will maintain up-to-date product cost and selling price specific to customers shipped out of that warehouse in the branch customer book. Product literature will be organized and maintained. 12. Will schedule and implement preventive maintenance as required on all vehicles and equipment at the branch. 13. Will review the weekly time sheets, driver logs, expense statements, etc submitted by all branch personnel and be sure they meet the requirements in the Company policies. Upon verification and approval these reports will be forwarded to the appropriate parties. 14. Will read and comply with the guidelines established in the Company Policy and Procedure Manuals. 15. Must have working knowledge of warehousing and distribution operations. Must have the mathematical and logical skills necessary to perform the required functions. Communication and human relation?s skills are necessary in relating appropriate information to other personnel both within and outside of the corporation. Creativity and initiative are also required to implement the basic duties and responsibilities of this position. 16. Punctuality and regularity of attendance are job requirements. 17.
