Job Description: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES •Manage relationships with international logistics services providers (freight forwarders, customs brokers, ocean/air carriers, consolidators, UPS/FedEx and inland carriers) to execute global freight movements, monitoring to ensure global freight movements are on time, and meet internal/external customer requirements. •Work with global transportation providers and Bushnell buyers to incorporate and maintain shipping controls for both domestic and international vendors. •Monitor and coordinate all predefined international booking requirements to ensure timely departure and 100% ASN match. •Monitor EDI auto updates from all 3PL company systems to Bushnell systems and manually update shipping data in AS400 system as needed to ensure accurate and timely shipment status. •Interact with buyers, customer service, QA, product development, accounting and distribution personnel to resolve all international shipment related discrepancies and issues. •Collect relevant data and conduct analysis that defines the current conditions and creates quantitative measurements that are used to measure goals, such as vendor and logistics performance reports. •Correspond with overseas and domestic /subsidiaries and freight forwarders to resolve any logistics service related matters. •Interact with customs broker to ensure all required shipping documents are received in a timely manner for a smooth customs clearance process. •Be responsible for collecting, filing and maintaining all inbound international shipment related documents to comply with customs regulations. •Participate in cross-functional projects to provide expert knowledge and support for supply chain and integrated logistics subject matters. •Create and maintain inbound shipment visibility report to provide shipment visibility to internal departments. •Create and maintain weekly inbound report for QA purposes. •Obtain global transportation metrics for all transportation lanes, evaluate them, and present the final data to upper management. •Evaluate and recommend savings opportunities in Bushnell’s global logistics/transportation network. •File claims on damaged goods received from overseas suppliers as needed. •Be a central point of contact for all global transportation service providers and maintain working relationships. •Thoroughly understand and evaluate rates/contracts for all transportation service providers. •Work with global transportation providers to develop solutions to meet Bushnell’s transportation needs. •Compare actual Bushnell transportation data against rate sheets for discrepancies. •Review and approve/dispute all inbound and outbound transportation related invoices. •Assist in engagement of inbound and outbound transportation related contract negotiations. •Work closely with receiving department to ensure all inbound shipments are received in a timely manner •Assist in daily activities of the Global Logistics Administrator. •Direct and manage daily activities of 3PL on-site personnel. •Assist in enforcement of Bushnell’s global compliance and C-TPAT initiatives. •Provide management with ideas for continuous improvement and cost saving opportunities •Assist Global Logistics Manager with import/export compliance functions. •Assist in the preparation and presentation of various documents to any United States Governments Agencies, which may be requesting said documents •Develop and maintain a positive relationship with government official, service providers and others •Have some working knowledge of operational methods used in a FTZ.
