The Senior Logistics Analyst (LPD) supports the LPD-Class Program Manager (PM) supporting the SPAWARSYSCENT-LANT Ships Construction Navy (SCN) C4I design and integration efforts. The Logistics Analyst will monitor progress toward meeting the logistics supportability plan and identify the cause and impact of any problems/delays.  The candidate plans, develops, implements, and coordinates logistics requirements needed to support the fielding and lifecycle sustainment of the PM's products, which includes the following:Generates interim progress reports, final reports, and other logistics tracking information related to the PM’s project(s) and program(s); Establishes and implements short and long-term goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures Monitors and evaluates program/projects effectiveness; makes recommendations to effect changes for improvement Performs logistics and life cycle sustainment technical liaison with PEO C4I when required As a subject matter expert, participates in negotiations and performs research; supports development and management of various projects Provides budget plans and facilitate periodic cost and productivity analysis Participates in the development of policy and procedures that may represent the LPD Class to various external governmental agencies Prepares and presents briefs to project management and/or senior management on topics related to Logistics Support that presents data analysis and statistical information and makes recommendations and conclusions based on the analyzed dataAdditional duties will include, but are not limited to:The determination of detailed requirements within available or allocated resources for serviceThe design, development, procurement, production, storage, distribution, maintenance, transportation, utilization, and disposal of materiel DSS Qualifications: The successful candidate requires a bachelor’s degree and eighteen (18) years of related experience or a high school diploma and twenty (20) years of related experience. US Navy experience is preferred. The candidate will be the subject matter expert (SME) on Logistics Lifecycle Management with an emphasis on C4I equipment design, procurement, and sustainment.  Additional qualifications include:Strong analysis skills Strong strategic planning skills. Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Logistics Management or a related discipline and six (6) years of experience are required. A high school diploma and ten (10) years of related experience can be substituted for the degree requirement. Individual should have at least 6 years of experience with the Navy’s Integrated Logistics System and its application in equipping ships and shore installations. The qualified candidate should have a demonstrated ability to supervise, direct, review, and otherwise coordinate all work performed by the contractor’s staff and to maintain effective liaison with the Government’s technical staff.
