Job Title: SENIOR MARKETING ANALYST/LOGISTICS ANALYST Company: Swift Transportation Location: Phoenix, AZ Description: Posting Date: 02/17/2010 Job Number: HR08644 Job Title: SENIOR MARKETING ANALYST/LOGISTICS ANALYST Work Schedule: M, T, W, Th, F - 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM Shift Detail: Regular Full-time Job Location: Phoenix, AZ Department: Pricing Job Information: Primary Function: To analyze market rates and lanes on proposed and existing business Description: Use advanced theoretical and practical knowledge and expertise to improve the company’s pricing systems and procedures Interact with all areas of the company with heavy emphasis on sales, operations and corporate support functions such as administration and billing Conduct analysis on existing business and on Bids and Requests for Proposals (RFP) by completing sensitivity analysis on applicable lanes, market rates, Swift average rates and potential volumes to determine the best freight at the best rate Complete specialty pricing requests utilizing cost based pricing and the components that make up the cost model in order to recommend and justify price Communicate with Sales, Operations, and Billing Personnel Communicate pricing changes and/or additions to the Sales Dept. and the customer Skills: Working knowledge of Quality tools and TQM, Understanding of Cost Based Accounting and Activity Based Accounting, Strong PC skills, Proven Initiative and Leadership, Stress tolerance and ability to handle changing priorities, Strong interpersonal skills, Effective written and oral communication skills, Self starter who needs little motivation or direct supervision, Ability to plan and organize Education Required: Candidate must have a Master’s degree in Business Administration and 1 year experience in job offered, or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and 5 years progressive responsibility in market analysis in truckload transportation industry Experience Required: Supervision Received: Normal Confidential Data: Customer contracts and rates Status: Exempt Salary Grade: 22 Swift Transportation is an Equal Opportunity Employer and actively seeks to diversify its work force.
