Evaluate current vendor managed and consigned inventory arrangements for improvement opportunities. Evaluate current process for establishing Safety Stock levels. Enhance the process and timeliness for improvements and updates. Evaluate the current sales forecasting process and historical forecasting accuracy for improvements. Coordinate updates internally with suppliers. Improve sales forecast accuracy through process improvements, such as: timely feedback, improved accountability, product sales trend analysis, improved responsiveness to point-of-sale information, and better communication. Develop appropriate supply metrics and a supplier scorecard. Automate the process of capturing and reporting supplier performance metrics. Establish supplier accountability for improving their performance based on results of the supply metrics tracked. Establish, monitor, and maintain proper consignment and vendor managed inventory levels that meet the goals of the supplier and company. Develop an inventory tracking tool/report, for monitoring and evaluating changes in daily/weekly/monthly inventory levels. Manage product obsolescence activities to minimize inventory write-offs. Position Qualifications: Bachelors degree required. Minimum of 5 years experience in procurement and global supply chain management. Minimum of 3 years experience using Oracle 11i (purchasing, inventory, scheduling, and forecasting modules). Strong analytical and technical skills.
